Cottages on a Small Forest Homestead
Mörndre, a small farm in the forest, is beautifully situated by Kesnacken and the Kesnacksälven River between the lakes Stora Le and Lelången. A mill and a sawmill used to be located here – now, only the sound of the rushing water in the river can be heard.
Here we offer an inspiring stay in a peaceful and nature-rich environment with excellent opportunities for forest walks, mushroom and berry picking, fishing, and swimming in lakes and ponds. You can also take a dip in the Kesnacksälven River, just 100 meters from the cottages.
The birdlife is abundant, and you have good chances of seeing moose and deer.
If you want to hike the Torrskogsleden, Mörndre can be a suitable place to start and stay overnight, as the trail passes very close by.
Mörndre is also a great overnight option for car and bike tours in northern Dalsland. Sleeping accommodations are available for 11 people spread across 3 houses.
There is a large covered grill area and a small shelter with a grill for enjoyable gatherings.
The nearest shop is in Bengtsfors, 30 km away. Many beautiful excursion destinations are nearby, and we are happy to provide tips.
